Re: the link above and Tumblr posts regarding it (that has pretty gruesome and sketchy photos - consider yourselves warned):
I just wanted to say - while not a PETA fan - just because animals are adoptABLE doesn’t mean they will be adoptED. Most people are too shallow to adopt animals that aren’t super young (and those people don’t keep them for their whole lives anyway- humans suck). And how often will they get decent homes?
And keeping them in cages for months isn’t nice either. Especially if they’re wounded. It’s common lately to say: LOOK! A cute puppy with a broken everything - we’ll leave it without vet care for 4 weeks while we raise money online. That’s not kind. That’s cruel.
It’s a sad fact - but if they animals are given quick deaths that’s better than being torn apart or starving/freezing to death on the streets after they’re abandoned a few months or years after adoption.
It’s a tragedy that death is better than being alive - but it’s a problem that society has created and that society has to solve by getting their pets fixed and not being too stupid to care for an animal for it’s lifetime. And while vilified I think a lot of “rescuers” may put down a lot of adoptable animals because they don’t see a real light at the end of the tunnel for the *millions* of homeless animals owned by a growing number of idiots.
It’s not nice, or pleasant - I repeat - it’s tragic and painful to think about and to know happens. But *humans* need to change their actions so this isn’t a lesser evil. I’ve seen feral cats - they are often unfriendly, and their tails freeze off in the winter - but if you feed them you reproduce and add to the problem — and then you’re legally responsible for them and organizations won’t help them!
This is my favorite Mary Poppins remake.
I would see the Rock in a Mary Poppins remake twice in theaters.
Man… Storm Shadow seems really jealous of the limelight back there.
Storm Shadow’s waiting to go fly a kite.
See men - guys can use umbrellas!
So I was watching TV the other night… and an ad the likes of which I’ve never seen came on for a VG called Crysis 3. I don’t know what they were going for exactly… but I like it! ;)
Updated - I forgot to autocrop… >.>
